Sinterklaas, a curious Dutch tradition

Sinterklaas is a bishop, who according to Dutch tradition lives in Spain. He visits The Netherlands every year in November. On the 5th of December all children receive presents from him.

He visits the school every year and brings two very clever helpers, named Piet. The children from 4 to 8 get a present. The older children make something for eachother from cardboard, plaster or whatever. They hide a present in it and make a poem for eachother.

I know it looks and sounds very ridiculous, but we all have great fun!!
Just look at the video and be amazed.
